How to Play Krillion

One question. One answer. A reason to think beyond your first idea.

The official Krillion game

Krillion at krillion.io presents a Daily Dive with seven questions and a 25-second window for each. Its publisher curates the answer sets and rarity ratings. For current official rules and access to other modes, check the official FAQ.

Your practice round here

  1. Start a seven-question round. The timer starts when the question appears.
  2. Read every limit in the question. A province is different from a territory; a planet is different from a moon.
  3. Type one answer and submit. A recognized name or listed alias earns our editorial practice points.
  4. An unlisted answer can be retried while time remains. It may be missing from our list; it is not automatically wrong in the real world.
  5. Read the feedback, then choose the next question. The next timer waits for you.
  6. Review all seven answers and explore alternatives. Play another round whenever you like.

A simple example

For “Name one of the eight planets in our solar system,” Earth and Neptune both fit. Pluto does not fit this particular wording because it is classified as a dwarf planet. Our list gives Earth 10 practice points and Neptune 100. These numbers are editorial choices, not observed player frequencies.

Timing and skipped questions

The timer continues when you switch tabs. Refreshing does not create a new time allowance. A timeout or a skipped question earns zero; unfinished text is never submitted automatically. After feedback, the game waits for you to continue.

Choose your next mode

Krillion Unlimited plays ten questions, shows your complete dive log, then lets you continue another ten. Choose 25 seconds per answer or untimed practice before starting. Infinite Krillion keeps adding questions until you finish. Both use a finite bank that eventually repeats.

Daily practice on the home page uses the same independent route for everyone on a UTC date. Friend challenges put two players in a private room with the same ten prompts. Scores decide the winner; total answer time breaks a tie.

Improve one decision at a time

Keep a safe answer and a less obvious candidate in mind. Check the exact category boundary before choosing. When you finish, expand a question in the dive log to see accepted alternatives and its factual source. Do not assume a familiar name earns the same score in every question.

The rules reference has exact details about timeouts, aliases and stored progress. Our scoring guide explains why practice points are not official rarity statistics.
